The Wanderer

from Part V by The Ephinjis

/

about

Heading down South,
“Destination?”, It’s warmer
And I don’t feel the way I did
Like a stray dog loner

And it’s been XIII long and painful months
I ain’t the same man I was before
Learned more than I thought I would
Kicked out the back and onto your front door

Worn out streets
People call home
Cerrillos down the way to the square
And I revel in the beauty of the land
Of the people, the steeple and the air

They were too afraid to leave
Home was just behind
We’ll throw ourselves into the fog
Leave the comfort behind
And the people go and wander
And I start to wonder
If our time is just a point within a cross
Destined to travel away forever

Worn out streets
People call home
Cerrillos down the way to the square
And I revel in the beauty of the land
Of the people, the steeple and the air
